Design realistically and with bioclimatic requirements
Background: tradition and the future with austerity
The design for the Puerta del Sol design spaces: Making use of most of the existing features that contributes to its perception; It incorporates functional contents referencing intervention in time and technology; strengthening links with what is and what is coming serving two purposes that promoted competition. On the one hand the intention of shared strategy the Community of Madrid, City Hall and the COAM agreeing on the idea that what the square requires is primarily a criterion to provide order to the fixed elements that were already there. On the other hand the bioclimatic basis of this design reveals a new technological approach to space conditioning with the use of thermoactive materials.
