REPORT ON THE PLANNING SCHEME OF
Valladolid Metropolitan area
The report on the Planning Scheme of Valladolid Metropolitan Area was commissioned to us by the Provincial Administration of Valladolid and consisted of a study on the definition of the limits of the metropolitan area and, an analysis of the territorial organization of that area, with a weighting of the analysis instruments used for the interpretation of the spatial organization, a express consideration of the will of the affected municipalities, and finally a study of the inadequacies of the formulation of the Territorial Scheme and of its graphical expression. The conclusions dealt with the planning and legal implications of breakdown formula of political decisions and of the substantive contents of the Scheme. The improper use of a descriptive gravity model without analytical capacity as well as legal deficiencies were especially underlined.
