Background: Color Plan of the City of Caceres
Color Plan of the walled centre of Plasencia started from our previous thorough laboratory physical-chemical and historical analysis of pigments sampling of typical coatings of building envelops
The basis for the classification of the categories of analysis was the detailed study of the building types, so we could derive from them characteristic maps of colour of the building as well as of its constructive and compositional elements, expressed by significant historical periods and types
The Plan presented alternative solutions for building colouring to be selected by municipal officials and residents, all based on the fundamentals of our study.
