The Detail Plan Zenete Elvira was intended to solve the access to neighborhood perched in the higher topographical platforms of the Albayzin, saving the height difference of 60 m. that separates them from centre of activity in the city of Granada, making for hectométric means (escalators and lifts, integrated in urban underground car parks, of which those carried out so far correspond to the intermediate sections)
The study aroused great public interest as a precedent which then was implanted in Toledo and other historical cities.
