A Protection Plan of anticipated effective outcome

The Special Plan of the Historic Burgos laid the foundation for much of what we value as a product of planning today and can be seen there.
A Plan that became an immeasurable effort that transcended the mere exercise of the professional activity involved in the defense and promotion of an outstanding heritage in a time when whole sections of the urban tissue may have disappeared or have irreparably disfigured .
The local archives of Burgos were crucial in the exercise of typological and historical research that triggered the drafting of the Plan.
Traffic and transport, economic base, morphological economic fundamentals, anthropological, archaeological, an intense public participation, supported by many institutions, allowed seeding the historic centre with revitalization criteria, then developed by the subsequent planning, until today.
