An urban regeneration project
Background:Plan of the Historical Center The Royall Meat Market, the Convent of Discalced Franciscans, called Versailles Park, the Church of San Miguel, the background of the Castle Hill and a very altered historic centre requiring a boost in its environmental quality, all crossed by a stream dry much of the year and basket of leftovers. An opportunity to recreate a landscape of a riparian gallery like that characterizes rural sections of Zapardiel river. That was the project to clean the river bed, naturalize without affecting its hydraulic hydrological conditions deduced from the corresponding study with legal horizons, protection against floods, but primarily an urban regeneration project supported by the quality of the natural physical environment. The project developed in great design detail established as an articulation of the systems of open spaces of the city center and from them to the rural natural environment. Bioclimatic urban planning, collective leisure, landscape quality and configuration references, now awaiting execution.
