Background: The villas of terra firma and Casa Valdes "Gardens of Spain"
The "Italian" withdrawal that characterizes this Quinta is also justification for a garden of platforms, and as in the adjacent Palacio del Pardo, in collaboration with the Marquesa de Casa Valdes. The proposed restoration of the garden was based on the outcome of an intense historical study, especially from the Archives of the Royal Palace of Madrid and the National Castle of Simancas in Valladolid. Although the process was interrupted after the death of Teresa Casa Valdes, it was used as a reference guide along the mandate of the National Trust by the Marquis of Mondejar
