RECOVERY FRAMEWORK OF Cozagón ARCH Brihuega Guadalajara
The momentum of Margarita
Background: Association Friends of Brihuega, local community
The interrelationship between heritage and landscape in this work is a precursor in urban design: Recovery study of an area in the vicinity of the wall of the historic town of Brihuega and its Cozagón arch, promoted by the initiative of a local association then led by the Countess of Madan (Margarita Pedroso and Sturdza, writer and literary muse of Nobel prize Juan Ramon Jimenez). All this as a step to boost the local economic base through environmental regeneration and its important heritage: Royal Cloth Factory of Charles III, historic garden etc. Our continued collaboration with associations for the defense of historical heritage, to be developed with the relationship with Hispania Nostra and others, started here.
